Active Shooter Training Exercise at Lehigh Senior
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public not to panic.
The agency and other local law enforcement will have a training session at Lehigh Senior High School Friday morning to practice their response to an active shooting scenario.
The training will take place beginning at 7 a.m.
Multiple training exercises will take place inside the school at 901 Gunnery Road North in Lehigh Acres, according to the sheriff’s office.
“The purpose of this advisory is to assure motorists, pedestrians, nearby residents and business owners there is no cause for alarm or concern since the location is highly visible and traveled,” the sheriff’s office said.
The exercise will last through the morning hours.
