Brush Fires Have Been Contained

Lehigh Acre Fire Department has been working three separate brush fires in the neighborhood of Wellington and Johns Avenues.

Lehigh Fire Department was staged in the area of Joel Blvd. and 13th Avenue during this event.

According to Lee Control Fire Units from Estero, San Carlos Park, Bonita Springs, South Trail and SWFIA were staging at the rest area near I-75 and Daniels Parkway, if they were needed.

According to Assistant strike team leader Phil Brown one of the fires burned less than 12 acres and the South Strike Team have been called off at these time

Alva Fire Water Semi-Tanker was on scene.  And according to Florida Forestry all the brush fires near Wellington and Johns Avenues have been 100% contained

Fire Crews were also dispatched to Todd Avenue because of a small one-acre brush fire near a home. According to fire officials the on Todd Ave has also been contained.

   Why did forestry not get called in since thats what they specialize in is brush fires
