Arts of the Inland (AOI) announces new membership rates for 2014. AOI is committed to presenting and promoting the visual, literary and performing arts and with the launching of the 2014 rates, they are presenting artists with many cultural opportunities. Upcoming events include an “Artful Evening” at Keiser University on July 11, “Perceptions” judged art show on November 10 and gallery shows/sales.

Bitter Secrets, Finalist In The Indie 2013 Excellence Book Awards
Author Patty Brant’s mystery, Bitter Secrets, has been chosen as a finalist in the Indie 2013 Excellence Book Awards. Published in April 2012, this is Patty’s first book, a tale about a long-ago lost family whose memory won’t quite go away. It’s set in Southwest Florida’s inland area, with the action moving to Georgia, then back to Florida to bring the mystery to its conclusion.

Meeting Scheduled
The Arts of the Inland will hold their member meeting on Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at the Firehouse Community Theatre, 241 North Bridge Street, LaBelle, FL at 6:00 p.m. All visual, literary and performing artists as well as cultural supporters and the general public are invited to attend. After a short meeting, a variety of literary readings including excerpts from plays will take place on the theatre stage. The Inspirations Art Show was held Sunday, April 14th at the Majestic Golf Course in Lehigh Acres. Dana Roes, who performed the judging, holds a Master of Fine Art degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
