A serious crash caused a complete roadblock on State Road 82 and Kalamar Drive on Saturday, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The wreck happened at approximately 8:30 a.m., the FHP said.
No further information is immediately available.
A 23-year-old man was killed in a crash Wednesday night on Lee Boulevard, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The crash happened shortly before midnight at the intersection of Lee Boulevard and Lee Ct. David Conde, of Lehigh Acres, was traveling eastbound on Lee Boulevard west of Lee Ct while Kevin Steen, was driving westbound.

WHEN AND WHERE IS IT?
Fort Rock’s first band of the weekend gets the party started at 12:25 p.m. Saturday in the field beside JetBlue Park at 11581 Daniels Parkway, south Fort Myers.
The 26 bands will play on two side-by-side outdoor stages from 12:25 p.m. to about 11:30 p.m. Saturday, and then from 11:45 a.m. to about 11 p.m. Sunday. Doors open at 11 a.m. both days.

Florida High Patrol report shows that Kevin Steen was heading west on Lee Boulevard when a Dodge Neon traveling east bound jumped over the median and slammed into his Steen 2007 Cadillac Escalade.
All lanes of Lee Boulevard heading toward Fort Myers were closed overnight due to the crash. They reopened just before 6:30 a.m.
The 2002 Neon eruption into blaze after the head-on collision. Lehigh Acres Fire and Recuse was called to the scene. The driver of Neon died at the scene.
Setting any and all fires outdoors, except barbecues, is now forbidden in Lehigh Acres.
The Lehigh Acres Fire Control and Rescue District voted Tuesday night to establish a 60-day temporary embargo that prohibits campfires, bonfires and trash burning, among other activities.
The Fire Board also agreed to write a letter to Lee County Commissioners requesting a County Burn Ban.

Two people were sent by ambulance to a local hospital after a bus crash at Gunnery Road and 23rd Street SW. Lehigh Acres Fire Rescue was on the scene.
A Gateway Charter School bus rear-ended a silver car belonging to Lab Corp.
One student from the bus and the driver of the Lab Corp vehicle were taken to the hospital by Lehigh Acres Fire Rescue.
Their conditions are unknown at this time.

Parts of Lehigh Acres picked up some much-needed rainfall seeing more than 2″ Saturday night Sunday morning in some areas.
Sunday’s rain total at Page Field was even good enough to snap an 82-year-old rain record for the date of April 23rd. Before today’s 2.1″ of rain the most it ever got on this date was 1.78″ in 1935.

Around 8:30 pm Saturday 911 call came in from a vehicle hitting a fire hydrant across from 5190 Lee Boulevard causing a water main break.
One lane traffic coming into Lehigh Acres was backed up.
The driver of the vehicle injuries unknown but was transfer to the hospital by Lehigh Acres Fire Department.
Crews are working to repair the break, evaluate the water quality and attempt to reverse the notice by Tuesday, FGUA officials said.

UPDATE Mr. Caldwell has been found safe
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a 62-year-old Fort Myers man.
On April 22, 2017, Roy Caldwell was reported missing by his family. Roy is described as a black male (DOB 07-11-54), 5’5” tall, 200 lbs., gray hair and brown eyes. Roy was last seen wearing a black shirt and black sweat pants. He was also carrying a white bag, green bag, and a beige bag. He was last seen in the area of Gulf Coast Hospital and is known to utilize Lee Tran as a means of transportation. Roy has not been taking his medication and there are concerns for his well-being.

On Thursday, April 20, 2017, at approximately 4:30 p.m., Lee County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a call for service at 2715 4th ST SW.
Lee County Sheriff’s Office has ruled that the three people found Thursday inside the home are a “murder-suicide.”
Tiffany Jensen, 37, and Heidi Shinne, 19, were discovered by deputies responding to a home. Johnson Scott Jensen, 47, was identified as the suspect, according to the Email we received from LCSO. Jensen died after being taken to the hospital.
The circumstances leading up to the event were unclear according to LCSO detectives.
