Cricket a team game has come to Lehigh Acres. For some time Lehigh Acres has had a Cricket team but now it plays teams just not locally but from out of state. This weekend the Lehigh Acres cricket team welcomed a team from New York City for a weekend match. The match was held at Lehigh Acres own Veterans Park.

Cricket was invented in the vast fields of England, supposedly by shepherds who herded their flock. Later on this game was shown benevolence by aristocrats, and now has the stature of being England’s national game. After a century now, cricket stands in the international arena, with a place of its own. And is according to many the second sporting event in the world.
