Caught on Camera
According to detectives, two unknown men cased the home at 641 Glenquist Avenue South prior to breaking in shortly after noon on Monday, April 7. The men, obviously not realizing there were cameras capturing their every move, then smashed through a window at the back of the house, with the smaller of the two jumping through the window. That suspect then opened the front door for his partner in crime, making for easy entry. Within a total of six minutes from beginning to end, the men removed several items, including a television, skill saw, .40 caliber ammunition and other valuables.
“Technology is a wonderful thing, and in this instance, we believe it will be the key to finding out who these men are,” said Trish Routte, Crime Stoppers Coordinator. “We highly suspect this wasn’t their first crime, since they had the confidence to break into the house in the middle of the day, and knew to get in and out as quickly as possible.”
Anyone with information on the identity and whereabouts of the two men are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477). All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
