Death Investigation
Underway in Lehigh Acres

At 10:49 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 1100 block of Vineyard Place, Lehigh Acres, in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival deputies located a male victim who was transported to the hospital where he died from his injuries.

The victim has been identified as Mark Gordon of 1106 Westminster Street W., Lehigh Acres.

Due to the nature of the incident detectives with the Homicide Unit of the Lee County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene.

An unnamed source said they heard a woman and man arguing all night then heard three gun shots then quiet. Next thing they saw LCSO and Lehigh Acres Fire Department on scene.
