FGCU’s Office of Continuing Education Introduces Social Media Marketing Certificate Program
To help business professionals gain the advantage of using social media for marketing and branding effectively, Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) Office of Continuing Education & Off-Campus Programs has teamed with Tamara (Tami) Patzer, social media and internet marketing expert, to present “Social Media Marketing for Your Business,” a 7-week certification program beginning Nov. 5 to Dec. 17.
The course is offered in a blended format of live classroom and online modules. The program includes a live introduction workshop of 1.5 hours, 17 hours of online instruction, and a live 1.5-hour wrap-up workshop. Tuition is $250, and basic computer knowledge is a prerequisite. Program objectives include: setting up eight major social profiles (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest, WordPress Blog, Google+, YouTube, Flickr), content scheduling and automation, understanding analytics, social media integration, social network optimization, design and implementation of social media strategy, integration tools, social media ROI tracking, results evaluation, and more.
