Fire Chief to Retire
Chief Don Adams of the Lehigh Acres Fire Control and Rescue District has submitted his letter of retirement.
Special meeting is in the process to call on Oct 19, 2012 about his retirement.
Adams said in the letter, as he was “reevaluating my priorities.” In the retirement letter, Adams thanks the board for its support, as well as employees and past employees of the fire district.
Adams started as Lehigh’s fire chief in 2006. Earlier this year, the board of fire commissioners renewed Adams’ contract until 2014.
Adams began his career in 1975 with the City of Orlando.
