Fire In Remote Part of
US 82 Continues to Burn

The Florida Forestry Service is keeping a close watch on a 20 acres fire burning off SR 82 and 850 in an old orange grove.

The fire started last night sending the smell of smoke throughout Lee County.

Fire crews planned to start fires inside the burn area to help move the blaze along.

The fire does not pose a threat to any structures.
