7th Grade Trip

Forty-nine 7th grade students from Lehigh Acres Middle School took part in a field trip to Lowry Park Zoo in Tampa, Florida on March 15th.  Students were able to off-set the cost of the field trip by selling cookie dough with proceeds covering their expense.  “Even though the water flume ride was closed for repairs, they had a wonderful time looking at the animals, interacting with the giraffes and stingrays” said Science Teacher Carol Anderson who coordinated the trip.  Anderson added “the zoo had a special exhibit of 22 life size animatronic dinosaurs which really gave the kids a fright”.
