Local Paintball
Teams Raise Money
Paintball teams all over Southwest Florida had a new target to hit this weekend. They hit the course to raise money for pro paintball player, Jackie Lon’s little brother, Christian Lon, who has Hunter’s Syndrome, or “MPS,” a disease that affects the nervous system. All of the money raised at the event will go to help the MPS Society in honor of Christian Lon. The event was hosted by Extreme Rage of Fort Myers, whose owners are residents of Lehigh Acres.
During this two-day event, on Saturday, a clinic was conducted with the girls of Destiny (a local all-girl team), Los Angeles Ironmen Pro player Mike Paxson and Paintball Legend, Tampa Resident Rocky Cagnoni, Former Championship Pro Players, Billy Wing and Eric Dearman. On Sunday, a 2-on-2 Tournament was conducted. There were over 33 sponsors that made donations to the event so that a raffle could add to the money raised for the cause.
