Mrs. Sue Mai Adams Wedge of Franklin, Tennessee passed away peacefully on November 24, 2014 at the age of 91. She was born in Shelbyville, Tennessee to Clara Dean Pickle Adams and Chesley Thomas Adams on July 27, 1923. Upon graduation from Draughn’s Buiness College in 1942 she went to Washington DC where she worked in the Pentagon. It was in Washington where she wed and raised a family in the Northern Virginia area outside Washington D.C. She is predeceased by her husband Leonard Frederick Wedge. She is survived by her son, Leonard Frederick, Jr. (Beth) of Roanoke, VA, daughters Martha Ann Thuma (Dick) of Franklin, TN, Linda Sue Thompson (Richard) of Springfield, VA and Sharon Marie Brooks (Darrin) of Lehigh Acres, FL, as well as twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at a future date at Quantico National Cemetery in Triangle, VA where she will be interred with her husband. Maria Vasquez, 58, of Lehigh Acres, FL passed away on Mon., Nov. 10, 2014. She was born in Guyama, Puerto Rico on May 27, 1956 the daughter of Ismael and Miriam Lebron Lopez. She was the beloved wife and mother of David, Emeline and Bobby; grandmother to Maiakai, Reuben, Alex, Emeline Maria and Alina Marie; sister to Angel, Damaris, Roberto, Celia, Joe and Ana; and sister in law to Manny, Migdalia and Brad. She sleeps now in Christ…we will see you soon!

H. John Harper is now our “Guardian Angel”. He passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2014. John was born in Grand Island, Nebraska on November 28, 1930 to John and Lucille Harper. He was a paratrooper in the US Army for 15 years. John was a member of Lehigh Acres Presbyterian Church, Masonic Lodge #729 in Ensor, KY and American Legion Post #323 in Lehigh Acres. He is survived by his wife, Maytha Harper and four children: Greg Harper, Tori Morrison, Jay Harper and Matt Pyle. A memorial service will be held 11 am Saturday, October 25, 2014 at the Lehigh Acres Presbyterian Church 60 Bell Blvd. Lehigh Acres, FL. Douglas C. Ostrander, 75, of Lehigh Acres, FL passed away on Monday, September 22, 2014. He was born in Toledo, OH on August 14, 1939 to parents Walter U. and Madeline (Chronister) Ostrander.
He is survived by his loving wife, Marilynn Ostrander; children: Amy Jo Ostrander, Carrie Lee Williams, Sheri Caulfield, Rick Hansen and Jeff Hansen; 11 grandchildren: Patrick, Michael, Frankie, Henry, Caden, Colin, Griffin, Cooper, Brent, Brett and Clara.

Rosa Belen Sanabria, 74, a resident of Riverview, FL and Lehigh Acres, FL passed away Thurs., Sept. 18, 2014. She was born in Puerto Rico Dec. 12, 1939 to parents, Candelario Sanabria and Natividad Vazquez. Rosa was a homemaker and truly enjoyed her family. Rosa is survived by her husband, Jose Santiago; children: Carmen Sanchez and her husband Rafael of Lehigh Acres, FL; Ramon Selpa of Lehigh Acres, FL; Juan Santiago of Galloway Township, New Jersey; Esther Santiago of Lehigh Acres, FL and Jose Santiago of Providence, RI; sisters: Esther, Julia and Carmen Sanabria; brothers: Wilfredo Otero and Daniel Sanabria; 17 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and two on the way! She was predeceased by her parents; daughter, Zory Powell; brothers Angel “Cano” and Benjamin Sanabria; and sister, Aurora Gonzalez. Gloria Margarita Piard, age 87, died on September 13, 2014. Born March 18, 1927 in Manzanillo, Oriente, Cuba, she lived in Havana before settling in Miami, Florida. She worked as a purchaser and sales representative for a clothing store until retiring in 1994. After retirement Gloria moved to Lehigh Acres, Florida. Survivors include her daughter and son in law Gloria and Gabriel Sanchez; granddaughters, Nicole Sanchez and Yamile Garcia; and great granddaughters Alanie and Ysabella. Gloria was preceded in death by her husband, Raul. Services were held at 10am, Friday September 19, 2014 at Saint Raphael Catholic Church, 2514 Lee Blvd, Lehigh Acres, 33971.
Ruby M. Fray, 88 of Lehigh Acres, went quietly from this world on Saturday, August 23, 2014 surrounded by her family. Ruby was born in the island of Jamaica and relocated to the United States in 1976. She lived in the state of NJ until 1992 when she relocated to Florida after her retirement.
Ruby was a dedicated Christian and a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was influential in the lives of 9 children, 24 grandchildren, and 14 Great grandchildren. She is also survived by her beloved husband of 68 years, Alfred Fray and her only sister, Iris Salmon of Jamaica. She will be deeply missed by everyone including numerous relatives and friends. To everyone, she bequeaths her patience, love and infallible faith in God.

Janet E. Burres, 72, of a resident of Lehigh Acres, FL for over 41 years passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2014. She was born in Muncie, IN the daughter of Roy and Doris Terrell Cole. She leaves behind to celebrate her memory: husband of 54 years, Michael Burres; children: Debbie (Howard) Shadduck of Lehigh Acres, FL and Todd (Gwayne) Burres of FL; grandchildren: Brent (Denise), Blaine, Amber, Kolton (Lindsey); and great grandchildren: Kayleigh, Aiden, Audrey and Keagan. She was preceded in death by: her granddaughter, Amber; her parents; sister, Jane; niece, Toni; and nephew, Lee Jay.
Richard M. Lewis, 78, of Lehigh Acres, FL (originally from Taunton, MA) passed away on Wed., Aug. 13, 2014. He was the owner and broker of Century 21 Lewis Realty Assoc. in Taunton, MA for over 30 years. Richard truly enjoyed the game of golf, singing and playing the guitar, but most of all his family.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory: wife of 55 years, Edith Bailey Lewis; 4 daughters; 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter.
Paul Howard Griffith, Jr., 89, of Lehigh Acres, FL passed away of natural causes on June 21, 2014. Born in Uniontown, PA on August 24, 1924 to General Paul and Pearl Griffith, he served in the South Pacific during WW II in the Army Air Corp. After the war, he returned to the US, attended Gettysburg College and settled with his family in Potomac, MD. Bethesda became his home when he married and raised his four children June Bourdat, Paul Griffith III, Tod Griffith, and Holly Griffith. Paul worked as a home builder and construction contractor. He also worked with Comsat negotiating the construction of communication satellites, and for the Uniformed Services School of Medicine. He was an active member of Columbia Country Club for over 30 years. He retired to Lehigh Acres, FL to pursue his love of golf, with his partner of 18 years, Dolly Bolton. He will return home where he will be put to rest at Arlington Cemetery with his fellow airmen and his wife of over 20 years, Mary W. Griffith. He was a loving father and will be missed by all who knew him. Services at Arlington Cemetery will be announced later when final arrangements have been made.
