School Receives Grant
From State Farm Insurance
Lehigh Elementary School, with help from State Farm Insurance, is encouraging school-based service learning projects that also promote academic excellence through literacy connections.
On February 15th, Lehigh Elementary was awarded the “Good Neighbor” grant from State Farm Insurance. State Farm representatives presented the school a check in the amount of $5000. This grant will be used to extend the school’s current Good Neighbor program to include literacy initiatives and the new School-wide Positive Behavior Program.
In addition to their involvement in service learning projects, students will have Good Neighbor Academic Goals. Students who have been involved in a service learning project and have met their academic goal will become a Lehigh Elementary “Good Neighbor” and receive a Good Neighbor t-shirt and be inducted into the school “Good Neighbor Club”.
