Sinkhole Causes Road Closures

Northbound side Homestead Road near Lift Station

3 P.M. update

Donna Lizotte, FGUA Spokeperson said, a 12 inch forced main broke underground causing the sinkhole. Cause of the breakage is unknown at this time. Repair time will be 8 to 10 hours.

2:15 P.M. 

The westbound turn lane from Alabama Road onto Homestead Road, as well as a northbound lane of Homestead Road, is closed due to a sink hole.    Map of area
