SR-82 Is Now
Open After Bush Fire

Florida Highway Patrol closed the SR- 82 east of Corkscrew this afternoon due to heavy smoke from a brush fire.

The fire began as a controlled burn that ended up getting out of control, according to Florida Forest Service spokesperson.

The fire burned nearly 50 acres so far.

According to Florida Forest Service the fire is not fully contained.

Forest Service say drivers should use caution because there is still a significant amount of smoke in the area.
