Target Awards Grant to School

Veterans Park Academy for the Arts accepted a $500 grant from Target Stores to be used for the purchase of reading materials for the school’s libraries.

Target representative Rachel Synga stopped by the school on Sept. 5, 2012, to deliver the grant information and congratulate the school.

The school was nominated by a parent for this honor. Once the books arrive, workers from Target will volunteer their time to help check in and label the books.

Veterans Park Principal Dale Houchin said he would like to thank Target for this recognition and for their ongoing support for education.
