Thieving Quartet
Nets 35 Felony Charges
On Sept. 25, 2012, just after noon, deputies responded to an occupied burglary at 1302 Hamilton Avenue, Lehigh Acres. A vehicle fleeing the scene was located and stopped by responding deputies. The vehicle was occupied by Michael Zamora, Justin Reynoso, Daniel Cruz and Jesse Dampier. Reynoso, Dampier and Zamora attend Richard Milburn Academy and were skipping class.
During the course of the investigation detectives discovered the subjects were responsible for other burglaries in the area. In the earlier burglaries, some of the property had been placed for sale on Craigslist and other property had been sold at pawnshops.
The thieving quartet racked up 35 felony charges among them which included Burglary, Grand Theft, Dealing in Stolen Property and False Verification of Ownership.
In addition to the burglary on Hamilton Avenue in which all four occupants were charged, Zamora and Reynoso were responsible for a September 20 burglary on the 4500 block of 13th Street E., Lehigh Acres, Zamora, Reynoso and Cruz were responsible for a September 21t burglary on the 700 block of Crestline Avenue S., Lehigh Acres and Zamora Reynoso and Dampier were responsible for a September 25 burglary on the 1200 block of Raccoon Street, Lehigh Acres.
The number of charges for each subject is as follows:
Michael Zamora of 3985 Sunset Road, Lehigh Acres, faces 12 felony charges
Daniel Cruz of 4547 Varsity Cir , Lehigh Acres faces 12 felony charges
Justin Reynoso of 633 Hawthorne Ave S , Lehigh Acres faces 8 felony charges
Jesse Dampier of 19630 Huber Rd , North Fort Myers faces 3 felony charges
