The Lee County Sheriff’s Office is investigating vandalism to the golf course at the Westminster Golf and Country Club.

LCSO Deputies responded to the scene Thursday and learned someone had recently put some kind of solution on the tee boxes at the 14th hole. The solution killed the grass on all three areas spelling out a profane word.

The vandal spelled out “(expletive deleted) You Steve.” There was also a large arrow pointing to a tree behind a nearby residence made by the solution.

The Westminster Golf and Country Club estimates the damage to the golf course is around $4,000.
