Fraud seminars for seniors planned
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office will host a “Learn to Fight Fraud” seminar, followed by a question and answer session on:
- Feb. 14: Christ United Methodist Church, at 1430 Homestead Road N., from 9:30-11:30 a.m.
The seminar covers frauds and scams affecting seniors and their families; how seniors can recognize and report frauds and scams; and how to detect, protect and report health care fraud and abuse.
Gutridge to speak at Women’s Club meeting
The General Women’s Club of Lehigh Acres’ will meet at 1 p.m. Feb. 15 at the Faith Lutheran Church. The speaker will be Larry Gutridge, Lee County Sheriff’s Office crime prevention specialist. Attendees are asked to bring donations for the Bake Less Bake Sale.
Neighborhood Watch Block Party planned
The 3rd Annual Neighborhood Watch Block Party will be held from 8 a.m. to noon Feb. 16 at Veterans Park, at 55 Homestead Road S. Free admission and activities for the family.
Concert band to put on Valentine’s Day program
The Lehigh Concert Band will present a Valentine’s Day program at 3 p.m. Feb. 17 at the Faith Lutheran Church, at 305 E. Leeland Heights Blvd.

Farmer’s Market set for Saturdays
A Farmer’s Market will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays at the Majestic Golf Club, at 350 Homestead Rd. The market will offer fresh fruits and vegetables, crafts, music and food vendors.
