What’s Up in the Night Sky

What’s up in the night sky for January 18-26 via Sky & Telescope. You’ll be looking South, high in the sky on these dates.

Jupiter appears bright, next to the moon, up in the V shaped face of Taurus the Bull. Look nearby for a small star cluster that resembles a “dipper” – this is the Pleiades, or Seven Sisters (not the little dipper.) Make time to turn off the TV and go outside and star-gaze. AstronomyGal.com
